      There is not much to be found in the way of ethics in that Critique, although it does provide a novel solution to the problem of freedom of the will. Kant’s first work dedicated solely to ethics was the Groundwork (). It would be followed by two more books on ethics: Critique of Practical Reason (), and The Metaphysics of Morals (). The groundwork for the metaphysics of morals is not God–and there is an entire book of Kant’s that makes great efforts to explain the actual groundwork. To say that the categorical imperative can be expressed as “what if everybody did this?” is to present a misrepresentation.
